Mrs. Miriam Aragon
Instructor of Humanities
Miriam Aragon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Houston Christian University, and she is a proud member of the HCU Honors College where she studied the Classics and learned the Socratic seminar discussion style. Miriam loves pondering and discussing great books and the way they show readers what is true about themselves, their world, and God.
In addition to teaching humanities at BHSC, she currently teaches piano lessons, both through Bluebonnet Scholars and privately. One of her biggest ongoing projects is composing a musical based on Ovid’s mythology! Additionally, she writes poetry, songs, fiction, and short stories.
Originally from Montana, Miriam loves being in nature and seeking out adventures. She enjoys reading, dancing, singing, and spending time with others having deep conversations. She frequents coffee shops, used book stores, parks, and museums, and loves to spend intentional time appreciating the small details in God’s creation. An avid learner, Miriam finds herself reading and attending conferences about theology, literature, history, writing, and psychology as often as possible.
