With gratitude to kind benefactors, BHSC is pleased to offer the BHSC Need-Based Scholarship Award to a family or families who otherwise would not be able to afford to enroll in the BHSC classes they’d like their students to take.
Who Can Apply?
The Bluebonnet community is proud to include families from a wide variety of places of origin, walks of life, and cultural backgrounds. We warmly welcome scholarship applicants who share the BHSC vision, who affirm BHSC Creed & Principles, and who agree to fulfill the parent/guardian responsibilities. To be eligible for a Fall 2024 scholarship award, the applicant must complete a brief scholarship application, submit the scholarship application along with all three parts of the BHSC enrollment application by April 29, 2024, attend an interest event and participate in the admissions family interview by June 7, 2024, and submit enrollment paperwork and registration fees by June 15, 2024. General scholarship funds will be awarded primarily based on financial need. Families who receive a BHSC scholarship award are expected to fulfill all required volunteer hours and are ineligible for the parent volunteer “buy out” option.
How & When to Apply
Download the Fall 2024 scholarship application linked below, and return the completed application by April 29, 2024 as directed in the application. Be sure to also complete the BHSC enrollment application by then as well if you have not already applied for fall admission.
Award Process
To maintain a fair review process, all scholarship applications will be reviewed by a neutral, out-of-state party who will suggest an award decision based on established criteria. The applications and suggested award decision will then be reviewed by a second neutral party to ensure an equitable process and adherence to objective award criteria. The scholarship may only be applied toward tuition fees.
Donate to the BHSC Scholarship Fund
Your support helps to further BHSC’s mission to enrich the lives of homeschool families in the joint pursuit of wonder, knowledge, and love. As a non-profit organization, BHSC depends on tuition and fee contributions from participating families as well as on gifts from donors like you. In the midst of the economic downturn, many families are homeschooling on reduced incomes. Your support of the BHSC Scholarship Fund will help one or more families thrive as members of BHSC’s supportive community.
