Students will also learn photography techniques and will be asked to demonstrate the use of these techniques in regular samples of their work.
This course meets every other week on Thursdays. It alternates with the Student Council Leadership course.
Materials:
Students should have a section of a three-ring binder dedicated to this course and should come prepared with the academic planner of their choice to assist with managing deadlines.
Students will need access to the Internet and to Google Docs, which they will utilize to submit their articles for The Bugle and other written assignments.
Photography will be an important component of this course. Students who have access to a DSLR camera will be encouraged to bring the camera to campus in order to help with photographing events and courses for the yearbook, as well as to complete their independent photography assignments. A camera will be available on campus with a SIM card for students who do not have access to their own DSLR camera. Students will not be able to use smartphones or other similar devices on campus for photography assignments. The purchase of a DSLR camera is not a requirement for this course.
